How long does it take to get me alterations back?

For our Erie PA alterations shop we have a standard work time of 2.5-3 weeks to get most job. We have options rush jobs but are subject to a rush fee. A timeline for an alteration shop is not based on how long it take to do a job but rather a queued system. So we add a little bit of a buffer to help people jump the line when needed. But space is limited so make sure to talk with our staff about timelines for your project and options for a rush when you come to your appointment.

How long does it make a custom suit?

Weather it's a custom suit, shirt, pants or jacket the bulk of our fabrics take 4 - 6 weeks to be made and delivered. With some being able to be done as fast as 10 days. While other more specialized jobs can take 2 - 3 months. But we at Primo Tailoring aim to serve you well in getting your garments in a timely manner. But with such a meticulous process, timelines may vary.

How long does a fitting take at a tailor shop?

For our alteration appointment for one item or one outfit will take 15 - 30 mins. We try and make these easy on you. Our highly skilled staff will go over all the adjustment with you and get everything taken care of.

For our custom clothing appointments we set for 45 - 60 mins long to be able to go over all the needs you have, mark, and design everything. But these can take as long or little as works for your schedule.

How to explain what you are needing done to a tailor.

There are plenty of different technical term in the world of tailoring but you need not worry yourself with any of them. It's our job to know how to talk and yours to just enjoy the prosess. So talk to your tailor about how things feel and what you like or don't like. So saying things like I want this tighter, skinnier, or perhaps more baggy all work. It's just like talking to your barber.

It's defiantly an alterations (al·​ter·​a·​tion) if you are referring to having your clothing modified or altered.
